DiRECTOR

Frédérique Pollet Rouyer

SYNOPSIS

Morgane wakes up a 6 AM, draws, dances, is a rhythmic dance champion, takes classes in Russian and art and prepares for her baccalaureate.
But at 18 years old, Morgane, in her own words, mourns for her mother. She would have liked to prolong her childhood. But now that she is an adult, Morgane tells herself it’s over.
Morgane’s mother is an alcoholic. Morgane always knew it. She has memories, ever-present, of difficult times with her derelict mother when she had to protect herself and her younger brother. A mother, still, that Morgane and Damien continue to love...
Morgane’s Purpose is a film full of hope that first of all, not denying the sufferance of children in difficulty, wants to explain to them that despite all challenges everything remains possible: desire, ambition, will to go beyond oneself, even happiness.
